Some people I avoid because they kind of weird me out. Others because I am trying to overcome my own feelings of failure and haven't gotten the nerve just yet to reply or follow-up, which is wild because why would I delay a good connection even more? That makes the waiting on their end longer and the whole late response thing worse. 🤦‍♀️

But I digress a bit here. The reality is the expectation of those of us who claim to be Christians is to love God and love our neighbor. That said, I'm confident that the "love God" piece needs to come first.

When I connect with God (divinely so, in nature, or through others, such as within the community of faith), I find my footing. From there, I can better love and offer myself patience and grace. After that loving relationship is active, then my interactions with others don't leave me in the winds of worry, anxiety, and general overwhelm.

Today, I'll go live and walk through the content of today's prayer practice, focusing on Matthew 22:37: "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind." The keyword is "ALL." A tall order, but it really does set the stage for everything else in life.

I hope we all get a little closer to learning how to love God everywhere and in every way the divine shows up around us and within us. Only then can that love carry into our engagements with the imperfections within and around us which have yet to know God as we do.

I look forward to transforming the world making all that we do rooted in the love of God.

I was born into the church and discovered from a young age that I had artistic, creative, and instructional talents, but it wasn’t until adulthood and a world of work for other agencies, churches, groups, and churches that I decided to devote myself to making the things I've done for others and myself accessible to everyone.
