The beginning of the 7-part process of PURPOSE journaling is an opening prayer practice of prayer. It typically includes praises, petitions, confessions, and thanksgivings.
After the centering time of opening prayer, we focus on scripture from the Bible.

With the context of the scripture in mind, participants take time to pause with the assistance of a prompt.

A moment of free-writing without limitations.

Writing with thoughts, journal prompt, and words of mind, body, spirit, self, and others.

An additional activity to engage with others.

The closing prayer practice is much like the opening prayer. It typically includes praises, petitions, confessions, and thanksgivings.
